I regard myself as a figurative/abstract figurative landscape painter working mainly in oil.
I tend to be drawn to motifs which are quite bare and stark and generally those which carry a sense of solitude. Out of these I try to distil and edit their essence and atmosphere using colour, line and spatial elements to convey a mood of quiet reflection and contemplation.
